The stupid part is that I don't know what kind of
car it was. It was a small white car with some kind
of added spoiler over the trunk area. I didn't recognize
the make and I was too intent on the phone when he
passed the gas station to get the license plate.

I can surely understand how eyewitnesses can get
too distracted to have useful information.

The police are of little help. They said to call back
if I had any more trouble.
