Fowler doesn't control ASCOM selling. The shares are in a voting trust on corporate matters, controlled by a member of the Board of Directors, but unless Fowler actually buys those shares, he can't control their sale.

I don't know what ASCOM's divestiture plans are, but it does look to me as if they have exercised their market power to keep IDX trading in a range of about $8 to $10, with occasional excursions up and down.

It's likely that the people who have been posting about ASCOM changes of management, and the nature of ASCOM's business needs, etc., are right . . . and that it is more likely that ASCOM is selling for external reasons. However, they have a massive amount they could sell, so the technical outlook (a relatively narrow trading range for an indefinite time) overwhelms any potential fundamental issues (such as ASCOM having made an in-depth survey of IDX's businesses and markets beyond what we can discern).

Nothing changes until it changes. ASCOM finishes selling, or IDX helps place their shares, or IDX breaks some major news. Anybody out there able to reliably predict the future in that detail?

Rob,

Ascom doesn't know dick.

They have had something like 3 complete management changes.....and each new one wonders why they have so much IDX.....and why they should not be cashing in an 8 bagger.

Fowler is not making the calls......he does not control the shares. Fowler is concerned about who has all of those shares....I'm sure.

But Fowler does need to make some calls......get those shares placed equally between Motorola, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, and the Queen of England.

I think you are dead wrong about what Ascom thinks or knows.......Anyone who really knew IDX at Ascom is long gone. IDX is just an asset on the books at Ascom. Very few people at Ascom even speak english.....Jeeesh...what's with that?

Again.......I have to fall back on the irons in the fire......Shorts are covering for good reason. Ascom let them off the hook....but the direction is still up......2000 will be a wonderful year for IDX.
