Thank you DrDave. In addition, computer technology in the early 80's was impressive for it's time, but certainly considered a dinosaur by today's standards. The big expensive mainframes were few and far between; the language was cumbersome and graphics was in it's infancy. My first computer (1982) was a Texas Instrument at a cost of $120.00 that had to be connected to a tape player. I'm not going to waste my time investigating the failures of past players, but I assume that they used nothing more than celluloid for the picture.

great post dr. dave!!

D probably does not also understand that coii:
1. has a more efficient camera
2. has a sophisticated computer algorithm
3. uses high speed computers
4. has a unique cooling system to assess how the cancer changes with time.

these modifications to thermography are huge and differentiate cti from old-fashioned thermography.
