Dear jdn,

I've just upgraded from AMD K6/233 with a 66MHz bus (old M571 motherboard from PC Chips which I did NOT want to replace).

I bought a K6-2/333 for a 66MHz bus for $30 :^)
It's supposed to use 2.2 core voltage which my old motherboard
does not have so I'm running it at 2.5V (M571's lowest core voltage)
which sort of "invites" overclocking, which I did, from 333 to 366
(went from 5.0x66MHz to 5.5x66MHz). Now, the only thing I had to do
to make it work was to install a patch from Microsoft for Windows95
as it was Microsoft's S/W that was NOT stable with AMD K6 at or above
350MHz.

The K6's I've had are flawless, I don't know what you mean by AMD
making claims and not delivering...
