Bipolar disorder is another name for manic- depression. Schizophrenia leads to confused thought processes and delusions. A paranoid schizophrenic is a well understood and agreed upon psychiatric definition. Many neurologists believe that it is a brain disorder reflecting a chemical imbalance. Many people think p.s.'s are evil people because of their not infrequent lack of self control and suspicions that others are plotting against them. Some mass murderers show this syndrome. Bipolar disorder is a very different condition, and often responds quickly to drug treatment. It is also thought to be about ten times as frequent as p.s.
If I may say so without offending you, some of your posts (such as the one I'm responding to) display what appears to me to be a streak of schizoid ideation. Your self-expressed years of work on mideast peace, profligate use of capitals and nom de poste indicate delusions of grandeur. If I were you I would have a good checkout from the nearest old-age psychiatrist. You may very well turn out to be a nut. Just trying to be helpful. I hope you get better soon.
