John, Dell's WebPC uses Intel chips. Looks like 433 Celeron at the low end & PIII 500 at the high end. Also, notable is that they are targeting consumer, not corporate, market. Looks like a real nice machine, and very easy-to-use. Should be hot sellers"...

Looks to me like DELL is venturing in waters they have successfully avoided in the past. They likely feel they better enter this market because they probably feel they are losing market to it...
The trouble is that this is the land of E-machines, Packard Bell and Compaq...if I owned DELL I'd consider selling it...This is definitely not a good sign...
