Yo Sofa! Let's see here
"...were more than euphormistically overpriced they were just plain worthless" I think the vast majority of the i-net recent IPO's fall into this category. Remember, by their own admission, they may never earn a dime.
"some will lose alot" YEAP! I am not talking about a major Wall St collapse just a MAJOR correction for 97% of the recent IPOs that'll never earn a dime.
Neither I nor the authors are claiming doom and gloom. All I have been saying is stay close to your phone and keep the broker on speed dial. There are a whole lot of people on this list that are simply caught up with the thrill of the bet, what I call Lottery Syndrome. That is why I think people being responsible MUST watch this stuff very carefully with the realization (not worst case scenerio) that the stock WILL crash, not if...when. There is no value to these stocks, they ARE worthless. You gotta read the book but keep an open mind when you read it. Greenspan has been threatening to pull the plug, he may just do that in Dec. Not all stocks, not even all Nasdaq. The Dells, IBMs, EMCs etc are all fine, they are viable companies. AMZN NETP etc etc are not. I am not doing it justice, read the book and no, it's not a conspiracy theory, it's just common sense.
Walt

Not 1920's but 1980's - Remember Tandon or Kaypro?

The comparisons are to the BIO-Techs and PC/Disk Drives companies of the 1980s. Furthermore the good-old-boy network of who gets the insider IPO shares and how deals are done for the benefit of the insiders. It was quite an eye opener!

Good Luck
