A settlement is being worked on in Chicago -- to which MSFT will be paying out a few billion, however, I just hung up with a friend from Lotus who said that they are considering going into R&D on a SmartSuite for Linux -- this is after they basically abandoned IBM's OS2.

The upside potential is there for MSFT. I agree the downside is very limited on this stock. I had decided to start holding this stock last week. Thought it was a good time to get back in--just before the start of the talks.

MSFT may give in to major demands if they can have the matter resolved before the release of Windows2k.
