Allan: Re: "He's been saying the same thing now for a couple of years and it has turned out to be pretty good advice. Best of all, he has given it out free over the media and over the Internet."

Now, who am I talking about? "

You tell me. It is your test. But imagine that. They actually do something "free."

Re: "The pundit you laud or the pundit you write off?"

Sure, Allan, anything you say. But I never "wrote off" Batman. You decided that I "wrote" him "off" in your own mind. I posted my points about Batman in the post this morning. So don't take me out of context. Batman makes good sense on points long term. But his extreme bullishness even in an overbought market does not do any investor any service short term.

Re: " The statement applies to both in the context of their respective "timing models" and "fully invested" advice for the past few years."

Batman has a "timing model?" Well, if you mean Batman is bullish all the time at any level of the market and in the face of overbought technical indicators that even you posted here, then, maybe Batman does have a timing model.

Re: "So why one is praised and the other disdained?"

I posted my points about Batman this morning. And they were timely and right on target. Look at the market today. Did Brinker advise those to go out and buy QQQ in a rising market full of speculation and ever rising sentiment? Nope. He was cautious and marveled at the valuations. Did Batman? Well, if he did not he sure as hell came close. I have never read or heard Batman say anything cautious at any time and at any level in the technology market and now is a good time as any to exercise some caution short term. It is that simple. Don't read anything more into it. Stop right there. Put back the black and white paint.

Alice doesn't live here anymore. Maybe she moved in with you.
