Ike, I'm still waiting. Dell and HWP still have love-ins scheduled to tell their versions of the Xmas lies, and many other cos. will do so between now and Xmas day. We have already seen "the best shopping day after Thanksgiving ever," and more of that ilk will continue to appear until we get the old "uh, the inventory looks uncomfortably large" comments. I want to buy puts in earnest after all of the former are in the market and before the latter start to roll. In the past three years, I have consistently bet that the investor would catch on early and have been consistently wrong. I still made money on the puts, as the moves down were large enough to make up for the fact that the igneurotic have to be hit in the head with a baseball bat before they catch on. But they would have been greater had I waited. So, this year, I have a skeleton list of just in case puts and am waiting to shoot the fish in the barrel.
