briand, a good post, revealing the real Cisco, a marketing machine with inferior products. Works with sheepish IT managers who buy to protect their jobs. But Telecom is a diff. story, need 7/24 reliability. Speeches by Chambers and news releases will not do it. They need real solutions for real problems. Wall street will see this by next year.

Even Nortel has problems supplying the equip. to ITC Delta resulting in revenue short fall for ITC Delta. Morgan Stanley thinks LU will benefit from that.

Man o' man Brian, I cant believe I missed that NW article. That is exactly, word for word, what I have been thinking/saying for almost TWO YEARS! And now to see it in print is absolutely nothing short of PURE vindication!

HE EVEN CALLS CRISCO'S CUSTOMERS SHEEP! Now where have we been hearing this for the last two years? BAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!

That is so, so, so excellent I think I soiled myself from laughing! This is nothing short of the Nexabit CEO quote about whoever owns the core will DOMINATE!

So all you IT managers out there that insist on Crisco:
BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

DOMINATION BABY!!!!!! WAVESTAR LAMBDAROUTER = DOMINATION!!!!

Yee Haa!!! I just popped the cork!

Brian,

I think the "Old Carrier suppliers" got caught a little flat footed with Cisco's dynamic penetration of their markets.

IMHO switched circuits are not long for this world. If the "old companies" had addressed the future like Cisco has then Cisco would never have had a chance to grow like it has.

I have found over the years that many so called "analysts" working for brokerage houses really don't understand the direction technology is taking to address the communication problems that the world is facing.

Of course time will tell but the opportunities are tremendous and that has helped me make a lot of $. There is a lot of room for competition and growth for all the 'Nimble" companies.

Brian,

I believe it's short sighted to say that CSCO will get some small deals in the carrier space and that's all. A few small deals quickly turn into a few large deals.
