IntelliCorp Launches New LiveModel Technology to Accelerate E-Transformation of Business Processes

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 17, 1999--

New Functionality for LiveModel(TM) and LiveCapture(TM) Includes

Generic Business Process and Organizational Modeling, Drives

mySAP.com(TM) and E-Commerce Initiatives

IntelliCorp (Nasdaq:INAI), a leading provider of E-Solutions for SAP(TM) R/3(TM), today announced the release of LiveModel 3.0.1 for R/3(TM).

LiveModel is a powerful collaborative modeling environment for describing, managing and transforming business processes. The new release is an ideal platform for transforming business processes and organizations for CRM and E-Business initiatives.

LiveModel helps companies accelerate implementation time, eliminate costly mistakes and provide a foundation for e-transformation by allowing teams to immediately understand how various business changes or scenarios will impact R/3. LiveCapture complements LiveModel by creating a post-implementation blueprint of actual running processes, and together with services the two combine to comprise the LiveCompass(TM) solution.

Major enhancements to the new release of LiveModel include organizational modeling, support for additional R/3 Reference Models, and enhancements to the integration with the ASAP(TM) Toolkit. A full understanding of business processes and organizations is a key element in the migration to e-business initiatives such as mySAP.com.

According to Steve Sanoff, Director of Business Process Products Management at IntelliCorp, "This version of LiveModel enables companies to describe business processes that are implemented in R/3, add-ons or legacy applications, or performed manually, as well as their integration points. Process steps can be mapped to organizational entities and job roles. These features allow end-to-end processes to be documented, and the impact of system or organizational changes to be understood and accommodated. The LiveCompass program combining LiveModel and LiveCapture provides an essential foundation for businesses moving to 'The City of e(TM).'"

According to Jim Shepherd, Senior Vice President, AMR, "The fundamental changes in attitude, business processes, and information systems that characterize successful e-business implementations require careful planning, coordination, and business intelligence."

"Other major additions to this version are the support for more R/3 Reference Models and tighter integration with the ASAP Toolkit. In addition, the improvements to the LiveCapture reverse engineering technology will help companies describe and understand their R/3 business processes during the upheavals caused by e-commerce initiatives," stated Sanoff.
