If this is a trend, Cisco will get squeezed out of the edge and the core until all the juice is out. They can no longer blow smoke with wine and dine techniques at enterprise IT managers who acted worse than sheep in overspending on bloated Routers. Cisco's days are numbered.

Kenneth,

This is precisely the type of network that T and WCOM have used CSCO products for. It's been argued here that CSCO doesn't sell to carriers for the carriers network - but only for pass through into the enterprise. This I think is still CSCO's bread and butter and I do believe that both T and WCOM have strong relationships with CSCO for these types of deals.
