I cannot for the life of me figure out why someone would want to use anything like it with sql server.

It's to use to scrape data from existing mainframe or other legacy system data dumps/reports/whatever to send into the data warehouse, which in this case would be housed on a SQL Server DB.

Regardless, I agree that this is HARDLY exciting news: I could choose from a number of products that would do exactly this for me on the market today. I can't see anything special about the product or the announcement.

However, ADSP ran huge on a re-release of an NR announcing a certification that is commonly applied for and received by hardware manufacturers in their industry, etc. This type of frenzy is just too scary. I know, I know, quit looking at fundies and go with the MO...
