The shorts are reported as of the 15th of each month. So what happens in between is not reported. It can be misleading

Torben, The short interest was reported last week and if I recall, the short interest in LGND increased to over 1 million shares. It was a sizeable jump percentage wise from the previous month.....this is all based on a increasingly foggy brain. But I'm sure it did increase. However, with that said, I think it would be a fair guess to assume that with the increased volume, we are now getting some covering of the short positions.
