>>I just want it to be known to new comers that if they open an account it may be a year before you get an IPO as e*trade has stated in email.<<

May be possible. etrade doesnt claim that they give IPOs to everyone. The more accounts people open and the more the people join may not help. Any way if u dont like eTrade why not go to someother place that guarantees u an IPO. You have to realize that the old days of IPOs are gone.

My account experience refutes everything.
Had an account opened for more than a year. Most of the time it was empty. Then I bought an OTC stock, and never traded it. Sent more money in weeks ago to play the IPOs. Now I had cash, and 2-3 trades in the past 6 months. I am 3 out of 5 attempts during the past 2 1/2 weeks (each came about 3-5 trading days apart). I flipped everyone during its open, thus I have always been cash overnight. I am curious to see how tomorrow goes with the two latest IOIs. I did open another account, to take advantage of the etrade new account gifts, and that account is a virgin, with just enough cash to obtain a pricey IPO. The account is NOT linked to my old account. Let's see what happens.
