LOL. The Hugh Downs picture is fine ..it'll do ...but Mike.... I DID see...when that CNN piece was running out of EXBTV or INEXT a couple months back....just for a few days....a large screen shot with NO digital artifacts ( those distorted little boxes). It remains the only non still narrowband large screen player content that has ever been watchable for me. Not great, but much much better. Have a hunch still that that was the best clue. The new tech probably allows various compromises, and I would guess they are still experimenting with the best mix.
