You're beginning to see, Larry? Haven't we been through this a time or two in the past?

Oh that right PC Mag is just a Microsoft shill.

PC Magazine UK, Larry. I like the ZD rags ok, they got cranky old John Dvorak and esteemed ilk sister Mary Jo Foley. Though after the FoF, zdnet had a lot of "Microsoft not guilty!" bleating that seemed a little light on legal reasoning and heavy on random company lines.

Anyway, as usual strictly for amusement, here's another reference on the quality of Microsoft products from a source closer to home: nytimes.com

While Gates meets and exchanges e-mail frequently with his son and daughter-in-law about foundation matters, he said he tried to bother his son as little as possible when he had computer problems, even with Microsoft programs.

"You know, the language of some of those messages that come up," he said, shaking his head with a laugh. "It just absolutely drives me crazy. They are flat-out incomprehensible.

"But I have an internal ambiguity about talking to my son," he continued. "In part I'm so angry at something that's happened that I want to tell him about it. And in part I know he feels bad about all that stuff, and I sort of hesitate to lay another problem on him."

Cheers, Dan.
