On options I don't mean as a general rule, just NETP specifically. Yes you are totally correct. Dell, fofr example, EMC etc. Big institutional investors can use them to hedge their positions. I have been long with Dell for yrs now and have used them for the same purpose plus a tiddy monthly income of $8k. NETP is largely day traders and I think they may go for the may calls and not expose what little resources they have on going long.
Time will tell.
