We have nothing else to judge anything by, then our own thought process which is directly influenced by our life events. You take a book that claims to be god's word, and believe it at face value. by your own words, you don't have the knowledge and understanding to determine if it's words are true. Ultimately what that means is that you are looking to external sources for your truth, with no ability to determine it's veracity. I would rather try and determine for myself, what seems to make sense to me, according to my truth, using the gifts of reason and logic that God gave to me. Mark
