Interesting that you use the term "shakeout". Jan posted this message tonight about AOL which is in a "shakeout" pattern. Turns out that the S&P chart looks very similar.

Also, my bottom indicator chimed today. If you check the charts from last years correction, you will find that CSCO held up until the very end of the correction. Once CSCO corrected, the bottom was set and the market started to move up. CSCO has now pulled back approximately 7% from it's high. It may pull back to $86 which will provide a great launching point.
