Uncle Frank,
Welcome Home! Where you belong, I might add. This is coming from a very successful educated-intelligent-woman that you could not pry off this thread with a crow bar. <grin>

Hi Unc,

glad to see you back. What's your take on the whole Cisco wireless thing? It hasn't gotten much discussion here, either on its actual merits (is it a threat to Q, and if so, how much and why?) or via the GG angle (what happens when gorillas clash, and how to play that). Some of us "derivative" investors (not "derivatives" investors<GGG>) are whistling past the graveyard hoping nothing in the basic story has changed, but would love some reassurance...

prosperous investing,

tekboy/Ares@nephewforaday.com

PS I would be curious to hear you elaborate on the reasoning behind your new portfolio. In particular, why SEBL and not, say, CTXS, which you had hinted you were considering? And why not JDSU? and how could you leave out Fastenal?

PPS (looking forward to next post) yeah, she makes a great fit, no? <sorry-couldn't-resist-G>

Unq,

fyi, I diversified a little more today. We now hold qcom, gmst, ntap, sebl, and qqq. I'm not sure if all will be Gorillas, but I'm convinced all have great prospects, even if as Kings.

I just wanted to state in this public forum that I can now sleep a little better knowing that our Aunt and Uncle have moved to include other excellent equities in their portfolio. Nothing like buying yourself a little early Christmas present (or Hanukkah which starts, oh so early this year). <ggg>

Wasn't it nice to have at least one stock go up in yesterday's profit taking? <vbg> You're recent additions are poised to capture growth in areas that by all accounts, should not be affected by the movement in your larger holdings. Not that my opinion really matters, but I just wanted to support your move to diversify into these other two stocks. Think long term...

P.S. Mike gave a disclaimer that he has the 'right' to go long or short in his Front Office Game members. Mike - if you go short on one of those members, Uncle Frank and I promise not to wipe our shoes before we enter your store when looking for wall to wall coverings. ;-)

Hello Unq,

I appreciate the post. Again nice to see you here in the "old" <g> stomping grounds. I am becoming a bit less diversified these days. My main holdings are Q, JDSU, GMST, SEBL, NTAP, WIND, ITWO, and QQQ (per your recommendation). I have smaller positions in CSCO, CREE, and CNXT. These would be the first I would sell to add to my main positions and if we retrace anymore that is exactly what I am going to do.

Last couple of days I haven't had time to catch up on the other thread, but I was too tired to be curmudgeonly anyway.
I am off today and will be caught up.

Squire J
