Does their display compete with MVIS?

DK, Re: "IBM Japan" ..... I do not understand your point.

IBM Japan, IBM France, IBM Chechnya, IBM Australia....... or wherever... It's still "IBM", and as the article points out"

<<<...IBM has not made a corresponding announcement in the United States yet about the latest version of the device. This is not unusual, however. The company typically markets tiny portable devices first in Japan; it then, if practical, brings them to the U.S. market....>>>

Do I think they have a superior concept? ....No!
It is simply expedient to be early to market so there is brand name association. Improvements can follow. I'd bet MVIS would be willing to supply the technology, license, etc., on a non-exclusive basis (I hope) should IBM so desire. MVIS just has to perfect its products for such a mass market.

Bob
