Come on', you know that it's expectations vs reality...absolutes do matter but if the Street thinks Intel will miss, it will send the stock reeling, even if they make a profit.
If Intel makes this quarter then it will be because of unbelievable demand over the entire chip spectrum....despite Floppermine fopahs...
OTOH, you realize that Intel has announced price cuts on Dec. 12. As someone pointed out on the AMD thread, this will likely slow demand a bit as OEMs wait for lower prices. The wild card however is that chips shipped after December are pretty much too late for the holiday season...All this just gives more hints of supply side problems at Intel...
