mb, I knew sooner or later someone would revert back to the Black-Scholes model as a means of valuing options. Let's face it, the rules are not going to change unless there is a demonstrable actual problem or crisis. Footnotes to the financial statements will suffice until such a problem/crisis emerges. There are too many companies relying on employee options to control costs and retain employees. Not to mention the fact that the option scheme also puts a lid on wage inflation.
