Yeah well that may be sour grapes from a money manager who missed the boat and is looking to talk the stock down.
With a 100 shares recently going for 40,000 dollars the remark about retail investors driving the stock is laughable. Many money managers on CNBC have mentioned JDSU as one of their top picks so obviously mutual funds and pension funds have been buying as has George Soros.

First I'll start by saying what the heck do I know! But for what its worth, this is fast becoming a must have stock. Not there yet, but not too far away either. I think fund managers are going to start loading up on JDSU. You raised a good question- Does anybody know the % of JDSU held by institutions? If I was interested in this starting a position in this stock, I would feel alot more comfortable buying in at these levels, as opposed to sitting on the sidelines, hoping for a significant drop.Maybe a good strategy for you is buy 1/3 now, and 2/3rds at a later point. Merely my 2 cents.

RE: "I am looking for exactly that: LTD & H. But not at any cost: "

This is an excellent strategy. Look back at JDSU for the past year. It regularly comes down to the 26-day moving average, but only seldom brakes through it to the 50-day MA. Buy at the 26-day MA.
