That is true, but, at the same time, individual freedom in Singapore has been severely restricted by coercive government policies; freedom of the press is dubious; political freedom of association is systematically undermined; and the courts are used to destroy legitimate opposition to the government.

Freedom has a price. So does security. I would rather be free.

I'd like to see some studies about conformity laws in the Asian countries and how that relates to their ability to innovate (which imo is non-existant). Sure the kids don't talk back to the teacher but they seem to lose some creativity as adults somewhere along the line.
