Edwarda, this is exactly what Dr. Whittaker ..A highly respected MD is talking about..He found in every study of Mass Murders A Legal Drug was involved..Spanking the Butt worked for me.. and my children were taught respect for their elders. it seems to have had a "trickle down" effect to my grandchildren ;-)

Yes, I agree with you. I was critisizing the phenomena we have today with people racing to be the forgiver when 1) they are not the victim of the perp and so have nothing to forgive 2) they are circumventing the system of human justice for the penalizing of bad behavior and 3) Judgement is mine sayest the Lord (Christianity) Even based on your scriptures to forgive someone's sole is a violation. We can judge behavior that we consider crimes against the state or another individual. We can penalize it. We can forgive someone who has hurt us or offended us personally. How does any of that justify the yuppie house wife running up the hill with her letter of forgiveness to be placed at the foot of a cross representing Eric Harris, the Columbine murderer of many other people's children, brothers, sisters etc.? Is she authorized to grant eternal forgiveness to the sole of Harris? Is she permitted to forgive him for the hurt other people are suffering at his hand? How is it her business to try to dismiss the violation against these victim parents our society and the sole of Harris in this way?
