Last spring, I was holding a highly speculative laser eye surgery stock, Sunrise (SNRS). Options were added in late spring. If I remember correctly, it had no affect on the stock run (it was moving higher) at the time. It did crash in the summer on some adverse fundamental news, but options had nothing to do with it. But this is my only experience watching the effect of adding options. Seems like it's a non-issue to me. But we shall see, huh?

What we are seeing today is simple profit taking on MANY issues.
YAHOO, AMZN both speculative, options a non issue.
Simple profit taking, no more no less.
