John,

Only an AMD investor could be happy when Intel is down less than 1% on the day, and AMD is down over 3%. They
seem to feel that that is a victory. I don't get it.

Reading message groups like SI points out very well that there are two types of people in the world (exaggeration, I know): those that will invest in companies like Intel, Cisco, Microsoft, EMC, SUNW, et al, for the long haul and make damn good money, and those that for some reason choose to absolutely hate these companies and trash them at every opportunity. Along with Intel, the Cisco and Microsoft threads especially have the hate freaks that are almost religious in their zeal. I guess EMC and SUNW haven't arrived yet. Well, Sun gets a little of it.

As for the "other companies" that these zealots love and invest in, I'd personally rather gamble in Las Vegas, see some shows, have some fun.

John, glad to see you've gotten more active around here lately.

Tony

Hi John-
It is real simple. As long as Intel earnings are down a little, they don't care how much AMD's earnings are down. Ditto for the stock price. Costing Intel money has always been the goal of the Droids. Making money themselves has been way down the list of their priorities.

Regards,

Frank
