Actually, I use PowerQuest DriveImage 2 as my DOS backup/restore program. I prefer my own methodology. Zip is my DOS boot disk because it holds so much and allows me to use both Partition Magic and Drive Image against all HD partitions. If I boot to a HD partition, I can't "mess" with that partition because it is active. I have not even installed Iomega's Tools on my Win 98 system because I haven't yet needed it. Atapi Zips work just fine without it, because both the BIOS and OS support Zip natively. But I will eventually install Zip Tools because I like the tool that lets me catalog the disk contents.

On mom's system, which I built over the weekend, there is no Zip drive. So I built her a custom CDROM with all the DOS software she needs. Then she boots to DOS with a floppy which also contains the CDROM driver. Once the CDROM drive is recognized, she can use all the PQ software I put on the custom CDROM disc to do backup/restore. I automated much of it with batch files located on the floppy.
