rudedog, RE: I am completely confused by what DELL is doing here... As they have been doing all year, DELL is playing defense, as opposed to the previous five years on offense.

Aloha Ruedog! I too am confused, but after reading the WSJ article I could at least begin top see what I believe may the strategy of moving outward in a number of new directions, slowly, cautiously. I expected something that would leverage their strength the manufacturing process, but since they are outsourcing these rather inflexible expensive machines, I remain confused. Many more product releases like this I will have to seriously reconsider the size of my investment in Dell. I surprised so few on this board have chosen to comment on this whole subject. Maybe too confusing??<g> Cheers Alohal
