<OT> To all,

An incredibly dumb question which I hope you will entertain. I invest for the medium-long term, due to my work schedule. What exactly are the "wash rules"? My understanding is that they are special taxation criteria applied to capital gains realized through short-term (< 30 days) holdings. Is this correct, and how do the capital gains compare for 29 day / 31 day holdings?

Thanks in advance and Regards to All.

Aggie

Dec 8th is the day...

Granted the XNG isn't widely traded but the XOI is...

XOI chart confirms this date:
timely.com

Nov 8th last major shakedown on XOI.

Waiting till friday to see if we see a last major shakedown and then I'm going back on margin.

Let's see if those wash sales rules can go 2 for 2.

Fundamentals are there, just need a reason for the traders to come back in bulk.
