The "Wall"? Do you have a wall covered with favorite quotes and poetry and thoughts? I have a notebook. A Wall brings to mind Seymour and Buddy's door in Franny and Zooey, covered in writing from top to bottom, with all their favorite readings. Wait- from Salinger to you! O snail Climb Mount Fuji, But slowly, slowly! ISSA! I went through a Salinger phase about 25 years ago--when I thought he and his characters lived in some intellectual realm, some life reference framework that would be forever denied me, but back then angst was attractive. Now I don't have as much patience for it. Great line from Seymour in Raise High the Roof Beam, Carpenters "I'm a kind of paranoic in reverse. I suspect people of plotting to make me happy."
