This is AnandTech's review of the Athlon 750, and in it, there are comparisons between Athlon 750 and Pentium III 733: anandtech.com Athlon 750 beats Pentium III 733 by a slight margin on all the non-gaming benchmarks. In the games (Quake III and Unreal Tournament), Pentium III 733 pulls slightly ahead of Athlon 750. You make the call. Tenchusatsu P.S. - Anand tested the Pentium III running on PC800 RDRAM, while Athlon is still stuck on PC100 SDRAM. I don't think the move to PC133 SDRAM is going to help Athlon all that much, but a move to DDR or RDRAM will definitely help.
