You made it clear as to what happened, but are unable to say why. I understand.

My "Baby Bell" says I am not eligible for DSL service even though I am within 1.5mi driving distance, which, of course, is a shorter distance on a radial. Flashcom, however, will give me 384K service for $50/mo, and a two year contract. Not going to happen...too much can change in that period.

Flashcom MUST lease the hard line from the Baby Bell to get to my home. Go figure. There must be more profit in it for the Baby Bell to lease the line to Flashcom.
