Hey Mom... ....your right..Flynn has no clue on what it takes to get
a deal done in the U.S. He's TM's puppet....They laid of some of my
old buds in the US yesterday....A VP of sales...A manager of the
system engineer's. The SEs suppport the sales people out there
in the field...Why would they lay US sales people off when
their bis in the US stinks...Go figure...Are they getting this pig ready for market?

I reakon he's got the right idea .It's obvious why he laid of your old buddies.
They were crap. If you can't sell shit in the fastest growing market
in the world then they're where they deserve
to be, ie on the scrap heap. If NN's European sales can grow by 40%
in a non deregulated, monopolistic environment why can't the Yankees sell shit?

QED They're crap.

May be he'll hire some washing machine sales people.
Couldn't do any worse than the jack asses selling there at present.

Well.....proper job ....maybe they were crap, but the VP was over 100% of quota.
European sales are up becuase NN is really entrenched there. It's a different kind of sale over
there. All technolgy. Very little creative financing. The US market is quite different.
Vendor financing, debit to equity deals are quite common here. TM has
Canadians (European stlye) running US sales. They think they're "superior"
to everyone. No relationship selling. The Nortel's, Lucent's come in and do soup to nuts for
these tiny emerging carriers. Business models, marketing, for carrier prospects
NN wonders why they keep losing. Just for the record, and not to boast,I was the
#1 sales rep. in the US last year at NN. 243% of quota. I know what I'm talking about.
I'm not bitter. I work for NT now. Such a difference. The NN pig is
getting bathed for market.

Going on a Limb and guessing Tellabs, with Seimens stepping in after,
I figure, why else eliminate sales force in US market if thats the market you want to penetrate.
This is just my guess, would like to hear any of yours.

Big jump in volume for no apparent reason at 3:00 EST ...

I think the US sales group was hit the hardest simply because the blame
as been thrown at them. You can't complain about poor sales performance in the U.S.

market for three months and do nothing about the way you sell in the market.
They ("He") had to do something.

Channels... that's how they achieved 40% growth in Europe and that's
what the new COO was brought in to do.
