This is the most sensible explanation I have seen yet for the likely strategy. As I said in the response to Mike, I have some info that indicates that DELL will continue to farm out all or nearly all of this class of manufacturing, perhaps doing "final" assembly and configuration of pre-tested major subassemblies on their own line. This type of product really has almost no internal assembly because their level of integration is so high and there are almost no internal subassemblies aside from the MB.
