The more I think about the psychology of this Y2K December, the more it reminds me of a typical October's psychology...

1. many people are expecting a significant sell off before the end of the month

2. high expectations for the following month

3. most traders will be compelled to enter before the end of the month (ie the last week)

With so many psychological similarities, I think we can use a typical October as a good model for trading this December...

- decent first week
- sell off starting the second week
- bottom around the end of the third week
- decent buying into the end of the fourth week
- wake up to rally galore the next month
