KJC, just an honest mistake. <s>

"With respect to gold in storage" in California, the latest filing said, "the company has determined that the warehouse went out of business about three or four years ago and said gold deposit has been declared a casualty loss.

It was only $22 million worth... These stories are priceless. Do you think it may be worth it to risk a dollar
for so many trillions in return? Now that is some arbitrage...

Without a doubt, there are zillions of donkeys (i.e. suckers) out there, with their money to be separated from their wallets. Happens all the time throughout human history and it's part of the psychology of the market.

Just catching up after a miserable eternity of computer problems.

"In the opinion of the company counsel, the gold has been lost or stolen, and in any event is missing."

Love it. Though I guess if you're collecting 9% daily interest on your Indonesian Bank Guarantees it doesn't really matter.

Dr Fred definitely gets my vote as 1999's Funniest Scamster.
