Tax question ...

As time goes on, the cost base of my Cisco shares approach zero. It took nearly eight years to go from $42 to $1. When my cost base finally dips below a penny, do I still need to report the cost when I sell my shares? Doing this math and tax stuff cuts into partying time. The 72:1 and 36:1 split adjustments tax the old brain.

Perhaps I could take the advice of some of the posters on this thread and sell my Cisco. Seems like a great way to avoid these questions.

Cheers, PW.

P.S. Changed my mind. I'll keep Cisco.

Mr. Tomatohead, you mean 1000%. You know how much that is, market valuation in excess of 3.2 Trillion. Vow! as much as the National debt, may be they can pay down the national debt with it. Get real my friend.
