Ruff, what's interesting about that news item is that it refers to Hutchinson Hong Kong's CDMA roaming [This is Australia's first international CDMA roaming agreement and the first of several, similar agreement we are seeking with the major CDMA nations in the region..."]. It does not refer to Hutchinson Hong Kong in a W-CDMA context, which is what the recent news items concerning DoCoMo's rumored investment has. Is this the same Hutchinson, as in Hutchinson/Whampoa?

Ruff

The company is licensed to use the branding of U.K.-based Orange PLC
(ORNGY). The Orange CDMA service is expected to be available by
June 2000.

I did not know Orange had any CDMA interests. I thought they were GSM exclusively. Maybe this is a sign of a European crack. Now with Mannesmann buying Ornage and Voda with ATI wanting Mannesmann...hmmm

What do you think?
