Exchange ratio: thank you for the response, it is the same number that i found. But if JDSU is 230 and OCLI is 194, then there is a big discount in the deal. .928 times JDSU's price of 230 = 213.44. 213.44 - 194 = 19.44. 19.44/194 = 10% discount to buying JDSU outright. Actually a 10% discount is not that unusual in a stock deal, reflecting the risk that the deal might not go thru. But if one was a long term investor in JDSU, then buying OCLI to get JDSU seems like a no-brainer. Anyone agree/disagree with this analysis. Are canadien funds a factor, or is everything is US dollars? Larry
