I wouldn't do it quite this way (you don't need two NICs), but basically it's correct. You need to change the default route to access one or the other.

As for capturing the output of route, the simplest way is to type

route

(with no arguments) which will display help, then copy it from the DOS box and paste it into a text file, e.g., in notepad. The /?
argument is redundant, since route with no arguments displays its help.

Some commands will route output via > or | (like unix), but route won't do it for me. If the output's too long, you can increase the number of lines kept in the DOS box through its properties (right click the title bar).

Either with or without two NICs, you will still have to change the default route, so I don't see an advantage to two NICs myself. I don't claim to be the final authority by any means, however.
