And that's just the half of it.

No mention by either Parties of a cut in FICA taxes (15.30% off the top without any deductions!)

I must correct you though. Steve Forbes IS talking about changing SS. Guess he's just not getting heard.

Considering that many people evade paying FICA taxes through the Earned Income Tax Credit tax refund, they should allow people to a direct credit for contributing to their IRA, 401(k), or whatever. I guess that would just about do in the sham SS program.
