taxman, I agree with you on the MSFT strategy. I don't expect any settlement before Dec 17. I was also thinking about selling the Dec95 calls but want a little more for them. Maybe tomorrow...

RE: jdsu. I have not seen those type of strike prices-ie below 100. I guess buying longer term calls on good companies is not a bad strategy. I try to go for the quickies and then buy the shares. Again, JDSU options are getting tempting. Too bad the implied volatility is so high. ---I miss the low volality on MSFT options!
Wait a minute!!! That could mean that January calls (well out of the money) on MSFT if bought at the right time could result in huge gains. Going to think about that one when the time comes.
