Carolyn, this is unusual, in my experience. IPOs usually have considerable institutional participation, but to see such heavy buying by institutions this soon afterward is unusual. It makes sense as a run-up to the end of the QP in a favored issue.

The good news is these shares tend to be held, effectively removing them from the float - so, new buys drive the price up. I'd look for a ramp in the weeks ahead - just a guess, but a good guess, IMO.
