Christopher -- at the time of the civil rights movement many American citizens did not enjoy unencumbered access to the ballot box. Not so today.

The Vietnam war "protests" included many illegal acts. Those demonstrations that grew to actually affect policy mainly came after the lottery system (which was fair) encroached on the deferment status of more privileged classes.

You are entitled to any opinion. I encourage you to get your buttski down on the barricades tomorrow and make your point.
