Would you want to eat beef from England that gave you mad cow disease? I'm guessing here, but probably not, even though it might be quite succulent and juicy. The Europeans think that beef that is chock full of hormones is poisoned, as well. They outlaw domestic hormone use because they are afraid that eating hormone-laced beef creates mutated bacteria and causes a public health menace. Their feelings on genetically altered crops are quite similar--they are willing to protest en masse against them because they are concerned that a Pandora's box of unintended and unknown consequences may be the result.

Don't you think the Europeans have the right to decide for themselves whether our beef should be imported there?
