Hopefully that means SanDisk will get a part of the non-removable (non-mobile?) flash market. That would be great!

I have listened to the cassette tape of the c.c. about a half dozen times and it sounds like "tsop". Thus I, too, hope this may indicate SanDisk will be offering embedded solutions or become a supplier to those specializing in embedded flash memory. It may have to do with the fact that the Toshiba/SanDisk M.O.U. will lead to a greater production of NAND type wafers by SNDK. Currently I believe that NAND makes up a very small portion of total production for us.

I hope that someone else out there on the Thread can either confirm or reject this claim.

Is SanDisk SmartMedia NAND or NOR?
